Fireplace Paired With Unique Built-In Bookshelves In Luxury Flat
Location: West Hollywood
The focal point of the main space is an industrial-style steel staircase that leads to the office and the guest room in the attic. The access to this space was previously trough an external staircase and not practical so we proposed and designed a metal and wood industrial staircase in the dining area that adds character to the space but has also a more functional use.
The living room with natural hardwood flooring and white walls showcases round metal coffee tables and a gray sofa facing the wall-mount TV . This serves as a nice background for the gray velvet specular sofas facing a simple rustic wooden coffee table and a fireplace that is embedded into a white concrete wall. The bright white walls and ceiling of this industrial-style living room are augmented by the hardwood flooring and the custom staircase that is shielded by eight wooden square section pillars that bring warmth into the space, with the pair of mid century leather armchairs and the wood vintage linear dining table.
Remodeling the attic room into an innovative minimalist double bed attic guest bedroom and an attic studio was a nice challenge. Because of the steep slope-ceilinged we built at the outer edges a working desk, beds, built-in storage units and bookshelves. The Bamboo flooring and the custom built wardrobes lacquered in white brighten the attic space.
